Voluntary motor vehicle and motor liability insurances

We provide advice on the voluntary motor vehicle insurance (kasko in Finland) as well all on accident and insurance issues related to the statutory motor liability insurance. As a main rule, however, we do not handle the compensation disputes related to road accidents.  In most cases, we are asked about the procedures, such as repairs, number of lay-up days, redemption and calculation of the fair value.  We also receive questions about the insurer’s decision on the claim, scope of coverage and legal provisions.   

In questions about loss, in other words, the compensation for road accidents, the customer can ask for a recommended solution Liikenne- ja potilasvahinkolautakunnalta (LIIPO).  FINE can only issue recommended solutions in questions where the Traffic Accident Board and Patient Injuries Board are not competent. These questions may relate to the motor liability insurances, including disputes about the premiums and insurance contract contents.
